Now that I’ve gained the help of the drake king, I will have to keep it and convince the rest of the drakes that I’m worth fighting for.

Now that I’ve gained the help of the drake king, I will have to keep it and convince the rest of the drakes that I’m worth fighting for.
All of that doesn’t matter if I can’t keep my despicable betrothed from tearing the kingdom apart trying to find me.
The longer I’m here with the drakes the more I’m finding I might just like the monsters in my head.

Warnings: this is a why choose romance with a small group of men, including mmf and no mm.

This is the second installment in the The Monsters You Know series. Georgia has been traumatized and battered, but she still has fire in her soul. Are the Drakes going to help her win her kingdom back? This is a fast paced story with steam and action. The cliffhanger at the end was a doozy. I can’t wait until the next book to find out what happens.

  3. christinaraven

Trouble, danger and questions abound as Georgia deals with the Drakes in this one. Had to see if she would convince the Drakes and what other trouble would occur. While a bit dark it still was a good read and had to wondering what would happen next. Still a good read and good characters to enjoy.

Another’s exciting book from this author with intense scenes! So much going on with Georgia who went to her neighbors, the Drakes for help with her country that was poor and a good possibility of a takeover. Georgia’s father, the King was going to give Georgia in marriage, to Callahan that had an army to stop from being taken over. Callahan and his brother Luis, moved into the home of Georgia but was very sadistic. This book is hot, hot, hot.

I was excited for book 2; I couldn’t wait to see where our characters ended up next….as I felt there was so much more left to happen after book 1. And? Boy did Erin Bedford provide!! Avoiding spoilers, cause it’s simply not my thing – I was able to learn more about the characters as the story progressed further…the relationships between everyone continued to progress and become more while seeing the sense of who each character is was great. (That is of course the benefit of a 2nd book). I felt the length was good, nothing was rushed, and at no point did I feel the author took the short route through events either…which to me is a sign of an enjoyable reading experience. I enjoyed every moment, my only negative? I’m left waiting for more! I want more, I want to know what else will happen and where in the future our characters will be. I can only believe we will get a 3rd book – which I hope is sooner than later as I am left on the edge of the book’s ending saying “more more more”.

Exciting with an amazing intensity, this second book of the Monsters you Know that is a great continuation of Georgia’s story. It is a bit darker than the previous book and had just enought world building and plenty of spice. I am very excited for book 3.

Monsters in her head is the second book in the serie. Georgia have now the help of the drake king, but she will still need to convince the rest of the drakes to help her save her kingdom from her terrible betrothed who just wants to take over. I have really loved this book and looking foward to the next one.

Book two of this awesome trilogy and it’s gooooood! This takes us to Georgia who despite everything she has been through, picks herself up and takes on the drakes to convince them to help her. She’s such a great character, strong and kicks ass but she has a vulnerable side too which we get to see and she is trying to get her kingdom back. It’s fast paced, dark, exciting and has more than a little spice and I can’t wait for book three!

Georgia was desperate to escape from Cal, and she needed the help of Ryu (the Drake King) for her plans, but she will still need the support of the rest of the drakes. She is drawn to Ryu’s brothers, will this be a problem? Will Cal find her? I enjoyed the angst, danger and the sizzling attraction of Georgia’s story, but I have to wait till the next book to find out what happens next.

  11. Samina

Amazing story. Georgia has convinced Ryu, the Drake king to help her defend her kingdom Kinoko from the Plumus brothers. Ira, Ryus brother has also fallen for Georgia but their youngest brother Desmond is still against war with Plumus. The story ends on a cliffhanger. Waiting to read the rest of the story. Thanx.

Monsters in her head is the second book in the series The Mondters You Know and carries on from the previous book which must be read before you read this one. Georgia having obtained the support of the drake king, now needs to convince the rest of the drakes to join in and help her fight her betrothed’s intentions. Will she be able to stop his takeover of her Kingdom? I have really loved this book and looking forward to the next one.

  13. ChrisL

There is action and suspense. The Drakes are helping Georgia to get rid of Callahan. Georgia is falling for the brothers. Callaghan’s groups are moving in trying to find the drakes. Will they find them? Will Callaghan get his wish or will Ryu? Follow their journey of learning and protecting. Note there is violence in the sexual way.

  14. truefriends

Georgia has to convince the drakes to help her.. (I don’t want to give spoilers so not going to say more then that) This one leaves off with a just wow cliffhanger.

  15. Tima

Georgia, the female human princess lead, is living with the drakes (dragon humanoids) in her kingdom, attempting to convince their king, Ryu, to help her people fight off her betrothed’s army (from another land). But Cal has no intention of just surrendering. And Georgia is struggling to work out cultural differences. Then she’s kidnapped and forced to marry Cal, with Ryu’s brother abducted by Cal’s army and Cal’s brother abducted by Ryu’s… This story commences where the first left off and definitely finishes on a cliffhanger. I’m still enjoying the first person POV for Georgia and third person POV for everyone else. Still finding this story slow moving and a little darker than I’m comfortable with. But also still desperately wanting to know how it finishes. I’m hoping the last one finishes with a bang.

  16. Loubie73

Oh my word! This book has you going through every possible emotion there is. Just so you know it ends on a cliffhanger so you will definitely need to get your hands on the next book, which I 100% recommend because you will be itching to get your hands on it and find out how it all ends. I know I will be.

Georgia is back in book two of The Monsters You Know series and this book picks up where book one left off. We learn more about Georgia, the Drakes, and so much more. After that cliffhanger ending I can’t wait to read the next book to find out what happens next.

Erin Bedford is smokin with this book 2 of The Monster You Know series. Bedford has demonstrated excellent storytelling skills with outstanding character development and world building as well as an impressive imagination.

Georgia has turned to the drakes for help and they’ve promised to protect her and kill the princes who tortured her. Now, she just needs to strengthen herself, and figure out her relationship with the Drake king Ryu… and his brother Ira… and him other brother Desmond… This book has a bit of a calm-before-the-storm feel, but still brings plenty of tension. I loved the “punishment” scene between her and Ryu, as well as the scene with Ira. Will Desmond fall as well? And that cliffhanger… which Drake brother is it?!?!?

  20. Melissa81

I liked reading more about Georgia and the Drakes. I like how the Drakes are helping her to fight physically to defend herself and to help in the coming war, but also helping her with her inner feelings and demons. I cannot wait to read the next book to see what happens next and if it all ends well, This book ended on a good cliff-hanger.

  21. Jennydm

Georgia must convince the drakes to help her keep her betrothed from destroying her kingdom. Lots of heat and of course as always an excellent read with a zinger cliffhanger. Can’t wait for the next.

  22. Ashley

Georgia has the drake king support but needs the rest of the drakes to help her keep her kingdom from her betrothed Cal. Book 2 picks up where book 1 left off so you won’t feel as though you have missed a beat for anyone starting lucky you there will be no wait! However, there is a cliffhanger and its going to be torture until book 3 this is sooo good!! I love the story telling of Erin Bedford each series reminds me why I just keep coming back to her as one of my top go to authors. If you haven’t tried Bedfords books and are looking for something on the darker side this series is for you!

I quite enjoyed the story so far. I love the FMC a lot and I love seeing her grow. One of the main reasons I didn’t rate it higher was because of the few spelling mistakes and I wasn’t a huge fan of the FMC and the other love interest. Our girl is suffering from PTSD of being tortured and abused and this guy thinks it’s a good idea to have a extreme dom/sub relationship (calling him master and her wh*re). I don’t see how this is supposed to make her take back her control like he claims. The only reason I could kinda see is she has the power to stop at anytime but it still feels off. Overall I liked parts but not the everything.

Princess Georgia will give Ryu whatever he wants if the king agrees that the drakes help her save her kingdom. Meanwhile, Callahan and Luis have soldiers searching the country to find her. They need the marriage soon for their plans to succeed. Plus, it will be fun to have the damaged princess to torture again. This dark fantasy ends with a cliffhanger but the action, steam, and drama make me eager for the next book in the series.

  25. Babs

The second part of the Monsters You Know. Princess Georgia’s saga continue with her asking for the kings help to save her kingdowm and Callahan and Luis have men looking for her. The story held my interst but again there is another carry over to the next book. I will be watching for the ending to this Trilogy.

  26. Ceciliaa

I honestly love where this book is going! We finally see some of that reverse harem content! This one is definitely more spicy than the first book. I am kind of curious to see if in the next book Georgia finally gets to have a moment with Desmond, now that they’re both captured by evil Cal. I am excited to see what the drakes do with Lu. While yes the book may have some grammatical mistakes, the over all concept is good in my opinion and I can’t wait to finish the series!

  27. Michaela

Nothing as good as the other books of somehow same genre I’ve read. I’ve read a few books of Erin written with May and I totally loved them but for this one, I kinda got bored about it and wasn’t totally finished it up.

  28. Kimkim

loved it !! love this series !! love Georgia and the Drakes… this is their story… a fast paced action packed drama.. she needs the drakes to save her kingdom … and keep her safe from her bethrothed … so much going on…. so good !!! next ?

  29. Carlag

I am so in love with this series. This book will suck you in and not let you go till its done and then leave you with a cliffhanger that will have you wanting to scream and toss things. For everything that Georgia had been through, she has to be able to get through what she now faces. I can’t wait for the next book because Cal just has to get his just deserts. I am so ready to see Georgia and her men get a happy ending.

  30. CC1012

Great second edition to the series. Loved how it followed on from the first. Characters clearly developed from the first book and provided more depth to the book. Plot was fab and intense. Dialogue flowed really well. Can’t wait for the final instalment.

This is the second book in the Monsters You Know trilogy. There was amazing representation in this story and the monsters were well developed. I did struggle with a few plot holes across the story, but overall enjoyed it.

This is book two of The Monsters You Know and the main characters are Princess Georgia of Kinkos and King Ryu of the drakes. Georgia has now gained the help of the drakes and their king, against her betrothed Prince Cal (Callahan) of Plumus and his brother Lu (Luis). Ryu has seen the terrible scars they inflicted upon her and she has told them of what she and her handmaid overheard of their evil plans. Cal was to marry her and then panned to have her and her father killed, so he and his brother could take over her kingdom. They would then come to eradicate the drakes living in the mountain as they wish to rule all of the kingdom. Georgia is getting used to being around Ryu and some of the other drakes, with one guard even learning sign language to be able to communicate with her easily. The more time she spends with the drakes, the more she realises that they are not the monsters she has always been led to think of them as. They have lived in the forest and mountain area of her kingdom and others, and are known as ferocious fighters. Georgia took the chance to ask Ryu for help, after coming to the end of her tether with the evil Cal and Lu and putting up with their treatment of her, believing she was saving her people and her kingdom. That was until she found out exactly what their plans were! She has found her attraction to Ryu and Ira grow, even feeling attracted to Desmond as well, but her main connection is with Ryu, the drake king, rather than his brothers. Whilst Ryu and is brothers were trying to figure out exactly what the princess wanted their help with and why she had allowed herself to be taken from the forest by his people, Georgia is getting some extra training by one of the other female drakes. It is giving her back some confidence in herself and dreams of doing to Cal and Lu, what they have done to her, before she kills them! But it has been a while since she went missing from the palace and her father had his guards out looking for her. Now Cal has used that excuse to bring more of his soldiers, he has had massing on the order, over into Kinkos and add them to the people searching for the princess. Time is running out for him to get her to marry him and for him and his brother to take over the Kinkos kingdom without battling the people against their will. If he marries their princess and then she and the king later on die, he would automatically take over, without open warfare! A shocking way to take over the kingdom and certainly not something Georgia is happy to see happen to her kingdom or her father, never mind herself. Danger is around every corner whenever she or her handmaid Aryn go outside the mountain, as Cal and Lu try to find a way into the mountain to get her back. Georgia and Aryn are finding that the monsters they thought they should fear, are definitely not the ones they are living with now, but rather the one she was to be married to and his brother. Her attraction to Ryu is growing intensely and now even his brothers are getting into the mix, which confuses her more than them, since it is normal within drake society. So much more to come for Georgia and Ryu amongst others, as danger comes for her, taking her back into the hands of those who wish her harm. I can’t wait for the finale book and hope it comes out soon, so I can see what happens next.

It has been such a long time since I read the first book in this series and I loved returning to this world and these characters. This was an amazing story that absolutely had me hooked.
